Have you ever launched into a workout prematurely, and could feel every ache and pain in your body? Time and a desire to get that workout started immediately can thwart this important attempt to prepare. The warm-up is an import physiological component of “fight or flight,” so focusing on fascial flexibility and mobility in your existing warm up can boost your training results significantly! Pre-workout mobility enhances intensity, decreases injury risk for more, pain-free exercise sessions and productive workouts. In a matter of minutes, you can perform simple exercises using a ball or roller to get blood flowing, obtain greater pre-workout joint range of motion, and experience decreased body tension. Healthy fascia has needs of its own, and research supports addressing fascial function to better understand its role in daily movement. This workshop will address the importance of fascial slings, lines of pull, including a systematic approach to rolling. From wake up to work out, we will address tight, stiff muscles, and use the ball and roller to show you how.
