Jennifer has spent the last 15 years on the West Coast exploring yoga, circuit training, cycling, and any format that continues challenge and passion. When she’s not grunting through push ups, you may find her in San Juan Islands as a sea kayak guide in the summer.
Jennifer was asked at a young age to stand on one foot to test her balance and she fell over. She also was awarded the tightest hamstrings in the greater Kansas City area from years of cross country running and refusing to stretch. Needless to say fitness and mind-body movement has always been a challenge for her, but the first challenge that became a passion.
If indoor kayaking ever becomes a favorable recreation, she promises to also teach that format at Community Fitness.
Power Vinyasa
5 min class to reset your day with spinal articulation and a core focus. Beginners to advanced welcome. Create your own challenge through patience in a posture rather than complexity. Control your breath and release some sweat. Expect hip opening and upper body strengthening through longer flows, a core section, and a surrender series. Props: mat, blocks (optional), strap (optional).
